YOUR VISIT

TICKETS & ADMISSIONS

All our swim sessions are timed: please check the timetable before turning up! Swim tickets are sold online HERE up to 2 weeks in advance. We recommend booking ahead, but if there is space in a session you may come and pay on the door. The bookings page will show you if there is space left in a session, or you can simply give us a call before setting off.

We encourage online and card sales, but also accept cash.

All guests to The Lido must be registered on our booking system. This is easy to do online, but, if you’d like some help, our friendly staff are here to help you in person or over the phone.

Doors open for each session a few minutes before the session begins. Please wait outside the main doors to be admitted. We recommend you bring a device or a printout with your booking confirmation on it. However, we do also have a list of guests for each session and will be checking you off against it, so you do not have to bring your device if you’d feel safer leaving it at home.

You may swim for the entire duration of your swim session; the times given are times in the pool. You may stay to get changed afterwards or enjoy our café. If you would like to arrive early (before your session) to meet friends or eat, please give us a call in advance. This is usually possible, except on very busy days where we may need to close the facility to get ready for the next session.

If you are running late, do not worry; you may arrive any time during your booked session.

The timetable will change during the season; please always check the most up-to-date one HERE.

We will continue to limit capacity for each session, to ensure a safe and enjoyable swim for everybody. You can see the capacity for each swim on our booking page.

Bookings are non-refundable and can only be exchanged in exceptional circumstances. Please book carefully and correctly, and contact us immediately if you have made a mistake.

CHILD ADMISSION POLICY

All children under the age of 8 MUST be accompanied INTO THE WATER by a parent or guardian, or another responsible person aged 16+, at a ratio of 1 adult: 2 children.

If your children are under 5 we recommend a ratio of 1:1 where possible.

Parents/ guardians must ensure that their children wear suitable swim nappies as required. These are available to purchase from reception.

Please note that you should closely supervise your children in the toddler pool as well as in the main pool. Our lifeguards are not babysitters and have responsibility for everyone visiting The Lido. Do not assume that you can leave your children in the water in their care.

If your child is a weak or non-swimmer and over the age of 8, they must still be accompanied into the water, wear suitable buoyancy aids, stay in close contact with the supervising adult and swim in the shallow end at all times.

Children aged 8 - 17 years who are strong independent swimmers may visit The Lido unaccompanied by an adult. This should be at the discretion of the family, who will be the best judge of whether their child is mature enough to come alone. Please be prepared for your child to pass on an emergency contact number for you on the day of their visit. We will collect this on admission, and use it only in the unlikely case that we need to get in touch with you.

FACILITIES

The Lido is fully accessible, with a disabled hoist and private changing room. Please contact us at the time of booking if you have particular access needs, so that we can be ready to welcome you.

Any swimmer requiring the hoist, or with severely restricted mobility, should bring a carer or companion to swim with them. This is a condition of entry and this person would be required to help in the unlikely event of an evacuation from the pool or facility.

Carers are entitled to a free swim ticket which must be booked through reception. Please contact us to arrange your visit.

SWIMWEAR & EQUIPMENT

All swim wear is allowed, including board shorts, wetsuits and rash vests. Thongs are not allowed and you should dress suitably for a family environment.

Mermaid tails, snorkels and face masks are not allowed in swim for all sessions.

Training aids such as flippers and snorkels may be allowed in adult and lane sessions by the prior permission of the lifeguard, and depending on how busy the pool is. Please speak to a lifeguard before beginning your swim if you intend to use any equipment.
DOGS

We are unable to admit dogs into the facility, apart from assistance dogs. (And except for the Dog Swim!)

PARKING

The Lido has a small car park which fills up rapidly in hot weather. Customers are advised to use the free parking in town and take the short walk up to the facility.

Please be aware that our car park is accessed through a residential area. Please drive slowly and carefully on the approach.

PHOTOGRAPHY

You may take photos and videos only from our designated photo spot. If you use cameras at any other location, the staff will politely ask you to stop. You may not take underwater photos or film during public sessions, and photography is banned in the changing rooms.

REFRESHMENTS

The Lido café is open every day, serving  a delicious range of hot and cold snacks and drinks. You are welcome to stay and use the café after your swim session. Please visit the café page HERE for more information.

We have a lovely picnic lawn with picnic tables, sun loungers and parasols. You are welcome to bring a picnic to eat. Do not bring any glass containers onto site because of the risk of breakage.

NO ALCOHOL may be brought onto site or consumed during public sessions. If you are seen drinking alcohol, we will have to ask you to pour it away and reserve the right to ask you to leave the facility.

NO SMOKING OR VAPING are allowed inside the facility.
