ADMISSION POLICY

All sessions are timed and must be pre-booked. You will not be able just to turn up and swim. Sessions will remain open online until 30 mins before they start. You can still book even after the session has started, as long as there is space, by calling the office. Spectator tickets are now available.

Capacity of each session is detailed on the booking page.

If you can’t book online, please give us a call or email us with your requirements, and our friendly office staff will help you.

We ask you to continue wearing your mask when entering and leaving The Lido (unless you are exempt).
You will be admitted up to 5 minutes before your session and may swim for the entire length of the session. Please arrive ‘beach-ready’ and showered, as no changing rooms or showers are available at this time. At the end of your swim you will need to leave the facility. There will be breaks between sessions to allow for cleaning and for customers to enter and leave the facility safely. If you are using the café after your swim, you may of course stay until you have finished your meal. You will not be able to book consecutive sessions and stay on site.

CHILD ADMISSION POLICY

All children under the age of 8 must be accompanied into the water by a responsible adult (17years +) and may swim at a ratio of 2 children : 1 adult.

Any children who are weak or non-swimmers, even if they are older than 8, must wear suitable buoyancy aids, stay in close contact with the supervising adult and swim in the shallow end at all times.

Parents / carers must ensure that children wear swim nappies as required. These are available to purchase from reception.

SAFETY AND HYGIENE

Our mission is to give you a safe and enjoyable swim in the open air, and to reduce the risks to a minimum as you move through the facility.

Hand sanitising and hand washing opportunities are available throughout your visit. Toilets are available, but not changing rooms, showers or lockers.

Chlorine levels are closely monitored and maintained in line with industry guidelines to keep you safe in the pool. Additional cleaning, with particular attention to touchpoints, is undertaken around poolside during and after every session.

Please continue to respect other visitors and our staff, and remember that some people will still prefer to keep their distance from others in and out of the pool.

Do not apply suncream directly before entering the water, give it 15 minutes to be absorbed by your skin so that it doesn’t wash off and cloud our pool.

Please do not visit The Lido if you, or anyone in your household, is feeling unwell with any of the symptoms of COVID-19.

SWIM WEAR

All swim wear is allowed including board shorts, but not thongs.

You are welcome to wear a wetsuit or rash vest.

Snorkels and masks are not allowed.

You may wear flippers for training in adult sessions only and by prior consent of the lifeguard.

Please bring your own swimming aids including floats and goggles, or purchase them from Lido reception when you arrive. We regret we are unable to lend any items at this time.

DOGS

Sorry no dogs can be brought onto site (except assistance dogs).
Except for the dog swim!

PARKING

The Lido has a small car park which can fill up rapidly in hot weather. Customers are advised to use the free parking in town and take the short walk up to the pool.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography and filming is not allowed in public sessions.

FOOD AND DRINK

The Lido Café is now open from 9.30am everyday with last orders for hot food at 5.30pm.

You are welcome to bring your own picnic to The Lido to eat on the grass; no glass please.

No alcohol my be brought in or consumed on the premises during public sessions.

ACCESSIBILITY

The Lido has level access throughout. We have a pool hoist and disabled changing room.

Wheelchair users and people with restricted mobility are asked to talk to us in advance so that we can be ready to welcome them.
