We are delighted to announce the return of our popular Synchro class on Tuesday 18 June.

Synchro (Artistic Swimming) is a fun and challenging workout, linking moves to music and rhythm, and it’s suitable for anyone 16+, beginners included, as long as you can swim a length of the pool and are comfortable swimming under water. Synchro runs every Tuesday evening at 6.30pm.

For the first time, we are also offering a Beginners’ Pilates class, commencing on Wednesday 19 June and running every Wednesday on the Lido lawn at 2pm.

Pilates works throughout the body strengthening core muscles and improving posture, balance and flexibility. It’s a low-impact form of exercise. Practising Pilates contributes to reducing aches and pains, improving your sports performance and enhancing feelings of wellbeing and fitness. This is a gentle Pilates class suitable for those completely new to Pilates, as well as for those who are returning to Pilates after a break, and led by Alice Becker, Pilates instructor and personal trainer.

This class aims to build fitness safely for people of any age (16+) who are generally healthy, but it is not suitable for those with a specific diagnosis like osteoporosis nor for those recovering from knee or hip surgery.

Full details of both these classes can be found on our website, together with our other Yoga and Tai Chi classes. You can book with confidence whatever the weather, as lawn-based classes will take place under our stretch tent if wet.
