We are proud to announce an exclusive evening event in partnership with Jaffé and Neale bookshop: your chance to meet the two amazing Lido campaigners and authors of The Lido Guide, Emma Pusill and Janet Wilkinson, as they speak about the new revised edition of their book and their experiences of Lidos around the UK. You will have the chance for an evening swim too, followed by a drink at the bar, and their beautiful book will be on sale throughout the evening.
Emma and Janet are founders of the National Lido Conference and have campaigned in parliament for the protection of open-air pools in the UK. They are possibly the most knowledgeable devotees of Lidos you’ll ever meet, and this promises to be a fascinating evening.
The book event starts at 5.30pm, Saturday 31 August, with a talk and Q&As, followed by swimming at 6,30pm (pool closes at 7.30pm). There will be a post-swim pay bar.
