BBC DRAMA FATHER BROWN SET

BBC Drama Filming Day

adminLido News

Last week Chippy Lido was transformed in to Chummy’s Holiday Camp for BBC drama, Father Brown!

Regular swimmers will have noticed we were closed for the whole of Thursday last week and we can now reveal what was going on… the BBC booked the site for the day to film scenes for it’s popular daytime drama show, Father Brown.

Blockley usually doubles as the fictional Cotswolds village of Kembleford and filming has also taken place in Winchcombe, Sudeley Castle, Ilmington, Notgrove and many other locations across Gloucestershire and The North Cotswolds. Chipping Norton Lido was chosen as the perfect location to represent a 1950’s holiday camp.

The episode starring Mark Williams and featuring Ted Robbins and our very own Josh Hart, should air in January next year and we cannot wait to see the full transformation!
