We are delighted to report that The Lido has been successful in its application for a grant from Sport England’s National Lottery supported Covid-19 Community Leisure Relief Fund to assist with its recovery from the pandemic.
Not only does this grant help us to recover some of the losses resulting from last year’s extremely short and costly season, but it also helps The Lido charity to support widened access to the pool this summer.
Aware that children, the elderly and those living in deprivation have been especially badly affected by the lack of access to leisure facilities over the past 15 months, and the resulting hike in prices to cover higher costs, we are grateful to Sport England and the Lottery for the grant which enables us to offer the following free or reduced cost sessions and activities.
For individuals:
Reduced child prices
From 12 July (on sale now), all child ticket prices will be reduced by 50p. Under 3s continue to visit free of charge.
Free Over 60s swim
Wednesday 14, 21, 28 July and 2 August: one hour swim
Wednesday 11 August onwards: one hour 30 mins swim
Although tickets are free they must still be booked online or by calling the office on 01608 643188.
For community groups and those providing services to people living in poverty, children, young people and the elderly:
Free private session for your group*
Have the pool, toddler pool and lawns to yourselves for an exclusive daytime session.
For clubs and other groups*
Half price two-hour evening private hire of the pool for £150. Available weekday evenings for the rest of the season from 7.45 – 9.45pm.
Maximum size of group: 30 (including any non-swimmers/spectators). This may change if restrictions on pool operating capacity are relaxed in future.
